I don't have any Adcom components, so the look of this unit looks GREAT to me. I have a variety of different components anyway. The quality and price of this one seems the best buy on the maket so far, I've waited quite awhile to choose the best for the buck and this Adcom is at the top of my list now. |

Here's the deal - it's a GREAT piece of equipment. I have it in the closet behind my flat pannel television with my Toshiba HD-DVD player and NOBODY sees it. With the remote IR sensor, I don't have to see it to do anything. It is a FANTASTIC piece of hardware and makes everything sound and look better. Get over the design - the clean look is to hide all of the equipment. |

I'm appalled that all the comments so far deal with the color for the front panel. This is an AUDIO product. |

I would buy it today if it were all black. Does not complement my GFA-5500 or GFA-5503 very well. |

I work for a very high end stereo dealer with a bunch of Adcom stuff as well as other brands like Krell. I have this and my GFA5805 to power my Boston E Series speaker system and WOW! What a processor. 4 CVid inputs and 2 HDMI is enough to get any kind of high def video. The audio processing is great and the setup is pretty easy to use to. Best thing about this amp...XLR connections to my 5805! Buy it! Who gives a damn that its silver?! Its worth every penny! |

I have 4 GFA-555 powering my 7.1 system. Wanted to upgrade to the 870HD. Saw it in a store and almost threw up! Great unit, but can't buy it! Looks like all the other junk out there now - no longer looks like an Adcom! Sorry have to get something else. Fire your design guy! |

a great idea for people shopping for an amp. tell them to download the whole owners manual just to find out even 1 single tech spec on this.So for that 5 Stars for the lack of info on tech specs displayed,
lines like "a full compliment of industry-standard audio and video inputs" how about a list of what the full compliment is? |

Hi great product features unfortunately i own 2 gfa 5503,5400,and ace-615,the silver on this product do not match my other adcom gearlooks like its time to sell my adcom and switch to another stereo brand since i want to upgrade to a hdmi processor |
