I have a pair of GFA-555's from 1990 that power my Infinity Kappa 9's. These are the toughest speakers to drive becuase of their half ohm potential and my GFA-555's run them like a champ for 20yrs strong.... Never been repaired or serviced. I am a soldier and I have lived in 5 countries and these amps just keep on trucking. |

I have the older version and she is still sweet. I love this amp. It have drive many kinds of speakers and she really lets them know someone is there. Adcom builds the best so what more do you want? |

I purchased my 555 from a friend back in 1998 and went into the DJ business. That 555 has made me a lot of extra fun $ through the years and I have made a reputation in N Central TX as the DJ of choice because my sound as compared to most of theirs is far superior. When I do a wedding reception with the 555, it sounds like a "live" band! That is what most of the comments have been from my clients over the years. |

Still using my original 555 that I purchased in 1988. In those 21 years, the only repair needed was to replace a fuse! The 555 drives my main stereo system and I prefer its sound to my new Denon 5-channel amp that drives my other surround system. I'm going to take this amp to the grave with me. |
All bow to the 555

I have two 555mkII's. One per side. Into my 4ohm Vegas. Who could ask for more power than that? My neighbors love me. Even the ones at the end of the block! I love Adcom. |

Don't know about the SE model but since the First model GFA 555 is up to date with todays speakers, I believe SE has to be better...The 5 Stars rating is for GFA models 535, 5400, & 555 |

I have my original 555 at around 1990. Not used for a long long time. Today, I just want to hook up everything and play the music I've used to listen back in the 1990s. Time can't go back but everything are still the same and I still love my 555. |

I still have my original 555 from 1988! Though I've upgraded my main system, I still use the 555 in my family room. Rocks the house! Definitely a great value, with great sound! Well done, Adcom - Long live the 555! |
